What is spam and hitbot traffic and do you use these techniques?

Unfortunately these techniques are still used by advertising companies and traffic providers. Spam if you are not aware consists of sending bulk email to individuals who have not requested it ( as known as unsolicited mail ). This technique of promotion is illegal and carries hefty fines and imprisonment.?

XRatedHits.net DOES NOT use this technique to generate traffic. Unsolicited mail is not only very frustrating but can mean that minors are exposed to adult related material arriving into their mail inbox which is totally unacceptable.

Computer generated traffic ( or hitbot traffic as it is also known ) is still used by some providers unfortunately. It is fake traffic that is sent to the destination website to indicate that hits are being sent when in reality it is just a program that generates IP addresses to show that visitors appear to be viewing your site.
